How to Draw the Sagittarius Sign
A step-by-step guide to sketching the symbol of the Archer.
Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21)
The Sagittarius symbol, or glyph, represents an arrow pointing upward from a line. It signifies the optimism, aspiration, and forward-thinking nature of the Archer. Follow these simple steps to create this elegant astrological sign.
Step-by-Step Drawing Guide
Draw a Vertical Line
Start with a straight, vertical line. This forms the arrow's shaft and the foundation of the sign.
Add the Arrowhead
At the top of the line, draw a diagonal line pointing up and to the right. From the same starting point, draw a second, shorter diagonal line to create a simple "V" shape arrowhead.
Draw the Crossbar
About one-third of the way down from the top, draw a short, horizontal line crossing through the vertical shaft. This is the arrow's fletching.
Complete the Fletching
From the right end of the crossbar, draw a downward diagonal stroke that connects back to the vertical shaft, forming a small, open triangle or a curved stroke. This completes the symbol.
Tip: Practice with light strokes first. The key is to achieve a balanced and fluid shape, reflecting the adventurous spirit of Sagittarius.
