Lightly sketch two curved, intertwined fish shapes in the center of your canvas. Using a large flat brush, wet the canvas slightly. Apply diluted washes of Celestial Blue and Lilac Mist, blending them softly to create a dreamy, underwater or cosmic background. Let dry.

Mix Pearlescent White with a touch of Lavender Dream to create a soft, opaque color. Using a medium round brush, paint the bodies of the two fish. Keep the edges soft and let some of the background show through for a translucent, ethereal effect.

With a smaller brush, use Seafoam Green and Celestial Blue to add shadows along one side of each fish and define fins and tails. Paint the symbolic line that connects the two fish with a delicate, flowing stroke using your fine detail brush.

Thin down some background colors with water or glazing medium. Using fluid strokes, paint swirling lines and gentle bubbles around the fish to suggest water currents or cosmic energy flowing between them.

This is the magical step! Dip a small brush or even a toothbrush into thinned Pearlescent White. Flick your finger over the bristles to create a fine spray of star-like dots across the painting. Use a white gel pen to add brighter, defined stars and tiny sparkles on the fish scales.

Step back and assess. Soften any harsh lines with a clean, damp brush. Enhance highlights or shadows as needed. Let your intuition—your inner Pisces—guide the final adjustments. Sign your work!
