Taurus is one of the most prominent and ancient constellations in the night sky. It is located between Aries to the west and Gemini to the east.

Its most famous feature is the bright red giant star Aldebaran, which forms the "eye" of the bull. Taurus also contains two magnificent open star clusters: the Pleiades (M45) and the Hyades.
