Mythology & History
In Greek myth, Pisces represents Aphrodite and Eros, who transformed into fish and leaped into a river to escape the monster Typhon. They tied their tails together with a cord to not lose each other.
The constellation is one of the oldest known, part of the zodiac cataloged by Ptolemy in the 2nd century.

- It's a large but faint constellation, lacking bright stars.
- Contains the Pisces Galaxy Cluster, a group of over 1,000 galaxies.
